Podcast: Stylist Kami Gray’s tips for looking great (and feeling even better)
She’s put together looks for celebrities like Jenny McCarthy and Amy Smart. She’s worked on the television shows, House and Veronica Mars. She’s a woman who formerly struggled with her weight (wearing clothes six sizes bigger than she does now), and then learned how to eat food that tastes good, makes her feel good, and makes her look good.
Now Kami Gray has written The Denim Diet: 16 Simple Habits to Get You Into Your Dream Pair of Jeans. I liked the book because it’s a truly uncomplicated plan for getting into fine shape while improving the state of our planet. It calls for eating actual food, as opposed to the processed, chemically-laden junk prescribed by some other diet mavens.
(I don’t know about you, but I’ve eaten my last ‘egg product,’ and ‘meals’ that have been frozen into black plastic trays will never darken my oven door again.)
Now, why should anyone go to a wardrobe stylist for advice on health and weight loss? Kami says, “I’m a regular person who figured out a long time ago how to live my life in a healthy way and by doing so, have managed to maintain an ideal, healthy body weight, easily and effortlessly, for twenty-one years.”
Be one of the first two listeners to comment on the interview (don’t procrastinate; it’s short but full of good information), and I’ll send you a free copy of The Denim Diet. Otherwise, you can find it in your local independent boosktore. If you don’t have a local independent bookstore, you can get it at Amazon.com.
