Solange Knowles deejays event for Haiti relief

I like Solange and I like Beyonce and I like champagne.  Put them all together for a good cause, I’m a happy camper.   Plus, I have to respect the drive of Solange Knowles.  I like the sound of her latest release Sol-Angel and the Hadley Street Dreams plus I was super pumped when she bucked the system and cut off her damn hair. Many folks try to peg her as the underdog to Beyonce’s astronomical fame (and several years ago, I was one of them), but Solange, bouncing back from a young marriage and divorce, keeps re-inventing herself and I think she’s finally found her groove.  At SWR, we want you to find your groove too - to revel in life’s magic and feel truly fulfilled, whether the knight in shining (or newly refurbished) armor ever arrives.

Armand de Brignac (Ace of Spades) teamed up with Solange for the “Relief for Haiti Edition” party to raise funds for those in need in NYC on Tuesday. The event was attended by notables including Jay-Z, Beyonce, Michelle Williams, Andre Harrell, Steve Stoute, and Daniel Merriweather. Solange deejayed as guests enjoyed some of the #1 Champagne in the world. A magnum sized bottle of Ace of Spades was signed by all celebrities in attendance and will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to help Haiti .
